As part of the Young Oak Kim Center for Korean American Studies at UC Riverside’s Humanities in Place Mellon Foundation Grant, four Riverside, CA-based community organizations were given $50,000 subawards (each) to help their organizations grow and promote their missions.
Dosan Memorial Foundation of Americas

The Dosan Ahn Chang Ho Memorial Foundation of Americas is devoted to commemorating Dosan Ahn Chang Ho’s teachings, such as Mooshil (Sincerity) and Yeokhaeng (Endeavor). By accepting and continuing this tradition, the foundation aims to build a strong identity for Korean people residing in the Americas and contribute to the development of the local community. Additionally, the foundation seeks to train excellent Korean leaders and promote education for the next generation, enabling them to advance into the mainstream of Americas. Furthermore, by promoting ties among Korean people worldwide, the foundation aims to contribute to the development of Korean people’s spiritual culture based on Dosan Ahn Chang Ho’s teachings.
