San Francisco & Bay Area Korea Center (SFBAKC) is a nonprofit organization established to cultivate a community and advocate for the Korean American residents of San Francisco and the greater Bay Area.  San Francisco is the place where Ahn Chang-Ho(a.k.a. Dosan) established the Friendship Society in 1903 and the Korean National Association (a.k.a Daehanmin Kukminheo) in 1909.  SFBAKC strives to continue the heritage of the earlier Korean American pioneers.
